RODRIGUEZ PORTILLO MIGUEL ANGEL
With deep peace in the Lord, we announce the passing of Miguel Angel Rodriguez Portillo, who went to be in the presence of God on January 19, 2026, at the age of 98. Miguel was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, an example of love, service, and unwavering faith. Throughout his life, he shared the gospel through words and actions, reflecting the character of Christ in his family, church, and community. His trust in the promises of the Lord was a source of strength to all who knew him. We hold on to the hope given to us by the Word of God, knowing that he now rests in the arms of our Savior, as it is written: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Abigail Garcia de Rodriguez; his loving children Blanca Idalia (Felipe), Guadalupe (Siamak), Miguel Alfonso, Elizabeth (Jorge), and Roberto (Luciana); his cherished grandchildren Edwin (Sandra), Abigail (Alejandro), Hadasa (Mikhail), Keila (Peter), Sarah (Jeremy), Esau, Michelle (Nestor), Ingrid (Christian), Katia (Daniel), Alfonso, and Carlos (Nancy); as well as his 17 great-grandchildren Liam, Jamilah, Xariah, Aylah,Thiago, Brooks, Lucas, Violetta, Kelsy, Zoe, Aylen, Asher, Xavier, Delilah, Michelle, Jean Carlos and Nicole Elizabeth along with many relatives.
The family will receive visitors at the Ville-Marie Memorial Pavilion, 6893 Sherbrooke Street East, Montréal (Québec) H1N 1C7, on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from noon until 8:00 p.m., and on Monday, January 26 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 25 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Pavilion chapel.
The burial will take place on Monday, January 26 2026, at 12:00pm at Repos Saint-François-d’Assise Cemetery.
Con profunda paz en el Señor, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Miguel Angel Rodriguez Portillo, quien partió a la presencia de Dios en Montreal el 19 de enero 2026, a la edad de 98 años.
Miguel fue un fiel seguidor de Jesucristo, ejemplo de amor, servicio y fe inquebrantable. Durante su vida, compartió el evangelio con palabras y acciones, reflejando el carácter de Cristo en su familia, iglesia y comunidad. Su confianza en las promesas del Señor fue una fuente de fortaleza para todos los que le conocieron. Nos aferramos a la esperanza que nos da la Palabra de Dios, sabiendo que ahora descansa en los brazos de nuestro Salvador, conforme a lo escrito: “He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe” (2 Timoteo 4:7).
Será profundamente extrañado por su amada esposa Abigail Garcia de Rodriguez, sus queridos hijos Blanca Idalia (Felipe), Guadalupe (Siamak), Miguel Alfonso, Elizabeth (Jorge), Roberto (Luciana); sus adorados nietos Edwin (Sandra), Abigail (Alejandro), Hadasa (Mikhail), Keila (Peter), Sarah (Jeremy), Esau, Michelle (Nestor), Ingrid (Christian), Katia (Daniel), Alfonso y Carlos (Nancy); además sus 17 bisnietos Liam, Jamilah, Xariah, Aylah,Thiago, Brooks, Lucas, Violetta, Kelsy, Zoe, Aylen, Asher, Xavier, Delilah, Michelle, Jean Carlos, Nicol Elizabeth así como por muchos familiares.
La familia los espera en el Pavillon Conmemorativo Ville Marie del 6893, calle Sherbrooke Est Montréal (Québec) H1N 1C7, el domingo 25 de enero del 2026 a partir del medio dia hasta las 8 pm y el lunes 26 de enero 2026 desde las 9h00 am hasta las 11h30 am .
Un homenaje en su memoria se llevará a cabo el domingo 25 de Enero 2026 a partir de las 6pm en la capilla del Pavillon.
La inhumacion (sepultura) será el lunes 26 de enero 2026 a las 12h00 del medio dia en el Cementerio el Repos Saint François de Assise.
