Peacefully, on Tuesday December 30th, 2025, GIOVANNINA LUCIANO passed away surrounded by family at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Nicola Luciano. Cherished mother and mother-in-law to Antonio and Anna Maria, adored nonna of Joanna, her husband Karim and Marianna, and treasured great-grandmother of Tristan and Alexandre. She will be tremendously missed by her family and fondly remembered as a devoted and spiritual woman, for her love, her sense of humour, her strength, her heart-led wisdom, and her world-renowned pizza. She will forever be in our hearts. Visitations will be held at Magnus Poirier funeral complex, 10300 Blvd. Pie-IX in Montreal on Tuesday January 13th, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. as well as the following morning as of 9 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 at Notre-Dame-de-Pompei church followed by a burial at Notre-Dame des Neiges Cemetery.
Si è spenta serenamente, circondata dall’affetto dei suoi cari, martedì 30 dicembre all’età di 93 anni. Amata moglie di fu Nicola Luciano. Madre e suocera carissima di Antonio e Anna Maria; nonna adorata di Joanna con il marito Karim, e di Marianna; preziosa bisnonna di Tristan e Alexandre. Sentitamente rimpianta dalla sua famiglia, sarà ricordata con immenso affetto come una donna devota e spirituale, per il suo amore, la sua simpatia, la sua forza, la sua saggezza profonda e la sua celebre pizza. Resterà per sempre nei nostri cuori. La salma sarà esposta presso il complesso funebre Magnus Poirier, 10300 Boul. Pie-IX a Montreal, martedì 13 gennaio 2026 dalle ore 14:00 alle 17:00 e dalle 19:00 alle 21:00, e mercoledì mattina dalle 9:00. La messa sarà celebrata mercoledì 14 gennaio 2026 alle ore 11h presso la chiesa Notre-Dame de Pompei a Montreal, e da li, al cimitero Notre-Dame-des-Neiges.
