SALVATORE CAMARDA
It is with heavy hearts that the family of SALVATORE CAMARDA, announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at the age of 92. He was a gentleman of few words and great humility, filled with grace until the end. A traditional family man who always saw the cup full, his fiery spirit would ignite a room with his presence, his singing and dancing! Born on March 27th, 1933, in the town of Mammola, in Reggio Calabria, he was a proud Calabrese at heart with strong values. Growing up during the second world war was challenging. He persevered by becoming a tailor, and fulfilling his military obligations in Torino. In 1964, he immigrated to Canada at the age of 21 to seek a better future leaving behind his parents Domenico and Rosina. In Canada, he was welcomed by his sister and his brother-in-law, Nunzia and Nicodemo, and his brother Filippo, in Goose Village, Point Saint Charles, where he began his new life. Later that year he met his beautiful wife, Nunzia Milano, who lived nearby. They were married on June 12th, 1965 and celebrated 60 years of love & commitment. Together they built a new life and a beautiful family that he was truly dedicated to. His legacy of grace and perseverance, along with a positive outlook on life, will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 60 years, Nunzia Milano, his loving children, Rita (Mauro) and Rosanna, his cherished grandchildren, Amanda (Nadim), Joseph (Jenna), Jessica (Michael), Nicolas, and Antonio, his great grandson Gianmarco, his loving brother, Filippo (Giovanna), his caring sisters-in law, Enza and Maria, and his loyal brothers-in-law, Paolo and Tony, as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitations will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex 10300 boul. Pie-IX, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Parish of Mont Carmel situated on 645 Rue du Mans, Saint-Léonard, QC H1S 2A1, followed by the burial at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
È con profondo dolore che la famiglia annuncia la scomparsa del loro amato marito, padre, nonno e bisnonno, avvenuta giovedì 4 dicembre 2025, all’età di 92 anni. Salvatore era un uomo di poche parole e di grande umiltà, colmo di grazia fino alla fine. Tradizionalista e profondamente legato ai valori della famiglia, vedeva sempre il bicchiere mezzo pieno. Il suo spirito ardente sapeva illuminare ogni stanza con la sua presenza, il suo canto e il suo ballo. Nato il 27 marzo 1933 a Mammola (Reggio Calabria), era un orgoglioso calabrese, cresciuto con solidi principi. La sua giovinezza, segnata dalle difficoltà della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, lo formò nella resilienza. Divenne sarto e compì il servizio militare a Torino. Nel 1964 emigrò in Canada, all’età di 21 anni, in cerca di nuove opportunità, lasciando i suoi genitori Domenico e Rosina. Fu accolto da sua sorella Nunzia e dal cognato Nicodemo, insieme a suo fratello Filippo, nel quartiere di Goose Village, Point Saint Charles, dove iniziò la sua nuova vita. Più tardi, nello stesso anno, conobbe Nunzia Milano, la donna che avrebbe amato per tutta la vita. Si sposarono il 12 giugno 1965 e celebrarono insieme 60 anni di amore, dedizione e impegno. Insieme costruirono una splendida famiglia, alla quale Salvatore si dedicò con tutto il cuore. La sua eredità di grazia, perseveranza e visione positiva della vita continuerà a vivere nei cuori di tutti coloro che lo hanno conosciuto e amato. La salma sarà esposta presso il complesso funebre Magnus Poirier 10300, boul. Pie-IX à Montréal, giovedì, 11 dicembre, 2025 dalle ore 17:00 alle ore 21:00 e venerdì mattina dalle ore 9:00 alle 11:00. La messa sarà celebrata venerdì 12 dicembre, 2025 alle ore 11:30 presso la Parrocchia Della Madonna Del Monte Carmelo, 645 Rue du Mans, Saint-Léonard, QC H1S 2A1, e di la al cimitero Notre-Dame-des-Neiges.
