FILOMENA MONTECALVO
It is with deep love and gratitude that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, FILOMENA MONTECALVO, who left us peacefully, on October 25th, 2025 at the remarkable age of 102. Predeceased by her loving son Vito Gesualdi. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Michele Gesualdi, her dearest daughter-in-law Lucia, her cherished grandchildren Michele (Domenica) and Maria (Stephane), and her beautiful great grandchildren Alessia and Sofia; as well as relatives and friends. Born in Panni, Foggia, Italy on December 10th, 1922, FILOMENA lived through more than a century of change with grace, strength, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend, a matriarch whose kindness and wisdom shaped generations. FILOMENA married Michele in 1948, and together they built a life rooted in love, hard work, and family. She took great joy in caring for her home and in nurturing everyone who crossed her threshold with warmth, laughter, and her charming smile. A celebration of her extraordinary life, will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex 10300 boul. Pie-IX on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Pompei Church, then to Le Repos St-François d'Assise Cemetery. È con profondo amore e gratitudine che annunciamo la scomparsa della nostra amata nonna, FILOMENA MONTECALVO, che ci ha lasciati serenamente il 25 ottobre 2025, all’età straordinaria di 102 anni. Preceduta nella morte dal suo amato figlio Vito Gesualdi. Sarà ricordata con immensa tristezza dal suo adorato marito Michele Gesualdi, dalla sua cara nuora Lucia, dai suoi amati nipoti Michele (Domenica) e Maria (Stephane), e dalle sue splendide pronipoti Alessia e Sofia, nonché da parenti e amici. Nata a Panni (Foggia) il 10 dicembre 1922, Filomena ha vissuto più di un secolo con forza, fede e tanto amore per la sua famiglia. È stata una moglie, madre, nonna e bisnonna affettuosa, sempre pronta a donare gentilezza e sorrisi a chi le stava accanto. FILOMENA sposò Michele nel 1948 e insieme costruirono una vita fondata sull’amore, sul duro lavoro e sulla famiglia. Una celebrazione della sua straordinaria vita avrà luogo presso il Complesso Funerario Magnus Poirier, 10300 boul. Pie-IX, mercoledì 29 ottobre 2025 dalle 14:00 alle 17:00 e dalle 19:00 alle 21:00, e giovedì mattina dalle 9:00 alle 10:30. Il funerale sarà celebrato giovedì 30 ottobre 2025 alle 11:00 presso la Parrocchia Della Madonna Di Pompei, dopodiché la salma sarà accompagnata al Cimitero Le Repos St-François d’Assise.
