In Loving Memory of Elena Pimpinella Adipietro March 17, 1939 – July 31, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Elena Pimpinella Adipietro: loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her 86 years were filled with kindness, generosity, accomplishments, and an immense love for her family.

Elena was born in Scauri, Latina, Italy, on March 17, 1939, to Ambrogio Pimpinella and Giuseppina Tuccinardi. The youngest of four sisters, she faced the hardships of war early in life, losing her mother at the age of three. She later resided at the Vatican for a long period of time, an experience that left her with a deep sense of resilience and faith.

At 22, Elena met the love of her life, Vincenzo, in her hometown of Scauri. After their wedding, they immigrated to Canada in 1961 to begin a new life together. There, they built a loving home and started their family, welcoming their son Salvatore in 1963 and daughter Antoinette in 1967.

In Canada, Elena worked as a seamstress, specializing in the making of uniforms for policemen and pilots. Determined to connect deeply with her new community, she attended English lessons to further her studies and communicate with the friends and family she so deeply cherished. A devoted wife, mother, and later grandmother, Elena always ensured her family felt safe, loved, and supported. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and delicious meals. She was an excellent cook and a loyal friend to many.

In her later years, Elena dedicated herself to community service, becoming President of the Golden Age Club of San Marco (Women), where she organized events, celebrations, and educational activities for all members. She also devoted her time to Bonjour CRAIC, offering calls and comfort to elderly members of her community, always thinking of others first. In recognition of her devotion, she was awarded Woman of the Year in Montreal on International Women’s Day in 2024.

Elena will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her devoted husband Vincenzo; her loving children Salvatore (Mary) and Antoinette (the late Ralph); and her adoring grandchildren Vincenzo (Maria), Stephanie (Jordan), Francesco, and Alexander. Her family was her greatest joy, and her love will live on in their hearts always.
