It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Zofia Modzelewski nee Filar at the age of 101. 

Born in Poland, she came to Canada after the 2nd World War. Predeceased by her husband Jan Modzelewski and her daughter Yasmina.  She is survived by her daughter Rita, son-in-law Lech Wozniak,  grandchildren Sonia and Johnny, great grandchildren Olivia, Bastien and James. She was the costume designer and seamstress of the Montreal based Polish folk dancing group Mazowsze. She was also a busy, active supporter of the Polish Community and the Polish White Eagle Society. Busy hands now at rest. Visitations will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 7388 Viau Blvd. on Monday, December 02, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by her burial in the Saint-Sauveur des Monts Cemetery.
