ANGELO PIVETTA
C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès d’Angelo Pivetta, survenu le 16 février 2026. Il fut précédé par son épouse bien-aimée Giuliana et par son frère Demetrio. Angelo manquera beaucoup à tous et restera cher dans le cœur de sa sœur Rita, de sa belle-sœur Anna, de sa fille Antonella (Greg), de son fils Pierpaolo (Tena), de ses petits-enfants Derek (Irina) et Kristin (Rich), ainsi que de ses nombreux neveux, nièces, petits neveux et petites- nièces. Né le 3 octobre 1932 à Oderzo, en Italie, Angelo est arrivé au Canada en 1951. C’est ici qu’il a rencontré Giuliana, qu’il a épousée le 18 mai 1957. À cette époque, Angelo avait déjà entamé sa carrière de graphiste chez Reitmans, une carrière qui s’est étendue sur près de quarante ans jusqu’à sa retraite en 1995. Angelo était un homme bon, positif et généreux. Il était également un artiste de grand talent, ayant continué à peindre jusqu’à tout récemment avant son départ. Un service commémoratif aura lieu en sa mémoire le mardi 24 février, 2026 à 11h00 à l’église Transfiguration of our Lord, 11775 rue Filion angle rue Dudemaine à Montréal.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angelo Pivetta on February 16, 2026. He was predeceased by his loving wife Giuliana and his brother Demetrio. Angelo will be missed, cherished and lovingly remembered by his sister Rita, his sister-in-law Anna, daughter Antonella (Greg), his son Pierpaolo (Tena), his grandchildren Derek (Irina) and Kristin (Rich) and his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Born October 3, 1932 in Oderzo Italy Angelo came to Canada in 1951. It was here he met Giuliana and they were married May 18, 1957. By then Angelo had started his career as a graphic artist with Reitmans, a career that lasted nearly forty years until his retirement in 1995. Angelo was a kind, positive and generous man. He was also a tremendous artist, continuing to paint until just before his passing. There will be a memorial service for Angelo on Tuesday, February 24 at 11:00 AM at Transfiguration of Our Lord church, 11775 rue Filion (cross street is Dudemaine).
