GIUSEPPE FURNERI
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of Giuseppe Furneri at the age of 93, beloved husband of the late Maria Schembari. Born in Santa Croce Camerina, Ragusa, Sicily, Italy. Deceased in Montreal, Québec, Canada. He will be immensely missed by his loving children Teresa, Tina (Luciano) and Joe (Liana), his cherished grandchildren Riccardo, Stefania, Lucas, Daniel and Mara Lia. Giuseppe was deeply loved by his family and known for his kindness, generosity, sense of humour and playfulness. He lived every day to the fullest with joy. His beautiful spirit will live on amongst all those whose lives he touched. Visitations will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300 Pie IX Blvd. Montreal, on Sunday, January 18th, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A mass will be held on Monday, January 19th, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church 7645 Rue du Mans, Saint-Léonard, thence to Le Repos Saint Francois D'Assise cemetery 6893 Sherbrooke Street Est, Montreal in the Saint Antoine Mausoleum.
È con profonda tristezza che la famiglia annuncia la scomparsa di Giuseppe Furneri all'età di 93 anni, marito di fu Maria Schembari. Nato à Santa Croce Camerina, Ragusa, Sicilia Italia. Décéduto à Montreal, Québec, Canada. Mancherà enormemente ai suoi figli affettuosi Teresa, Tina (Luciano) e Joe (Liana), i nipoti Riccardo, Stefania, Lucas, Daniel e Mara Lia. Giuseppe era profondamente amato dalla sua famiglia ed era ben voluto per la sua gentilezza, generosità, senso dell'umorismo e giocosità. Ha vissuto ogni giorno al massimo con gioia. Il suo bellissimo spirito continuerà a vivere nei nostri cuori. La salma sarà esposta presso il complesso funebre Magnus Poirier 10300, boul. Pie-IX à Montréal, domenica, 18 gennaio 2026 dalle ore 17:00 alle 21:00. La messa sarà celebrata lunedi 19 gennaio 2026 alle ore 10:00 presso la chiesa Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel 7645 Rue du Mans, Saint-Léonard, e di la al cimitero Le Repos St. François d'Assise 6893 Sherbrooke Street Est, Montreal nel Mausoleo di Sant'Antonio.
