Words cannot express the shock we felt when we heard of his death and the sadness it caused. Silverio was an engineer who was respected by all, who would always find a solution to every issue and, above all, he was a human being full of empathy, kindness, integrity, and authenticity. No doubt he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the good fortune of crossing his road and sharing his life. I met Silverio only twice and liked him right away. He left us too soon but mercifully quick. Condolences to the family.

It was a great honour to have known and worked with Silverio. He was a good friends for many, many years and I will miss seeing him in his office one floor down from mine. He was generous with his time, his knowledge and his coffees. During our many discussions, I was lucky enough to benefit from his engineering expertise which he shared willingly. The industry will miss him. His office mates will miss him. I will miss him.

He provided us as young architects a sure hand and guidance, in particular through his knowledge and sensitivity to concrete construction. A dear friend taken too soon. Though it is painful to see you go, our faith reminds us that your new life is just beginning. Silverio, may you now rest in God’s gentle care and eternal peace. My deepest sympathies to the family.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend of 25 years. Our families practically grew up together—his kids were always at our home or mine at theirs. We spent countless summer days in each other’s pools and so many evenings sharing a beer and good conversation. He was an incredible engineer, always creating something new. I would often tease him by asking, “So what are you engineering now?” He was brilliantly talented, generous beyond measure, and someone who simply loved being surrounded by people. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and comfort, and he will be missed more than words can ever express. My heart is with his family during this unimaginable time. May his memory be a blessing to all of us who were lucky enough to know him.

Sil was a remarkable engineer. As a student at Loyola, he was in the class ahead...who knew that we would work together during the summer months at our professor's consulting firm...which he would ultimately own. A mentor to me, Sil became a colleague and friend. A beacon to all young aspiring engineers, Sil was 'thinking, building and growing' engineering. From slide-ruler to computers, always a step-ahead. Rest in peace, Silverio.
