GAETANO MERCALDI

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Gaetano Mercaldi, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the age of 83. He was predeceased by his beloved son John, his parents Lucia and Giovanni, and his brother Saverio

Gaetano was a man of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family. He led by example through his integrity, humility, and hard work — values that will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Rosa Mercaldi, his loving children, Franco and Enza, and his cherished grandchildren, Lucas and Matthew. He will also be remembered with affection by his sister Angelina, his sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Visitations will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300 Pie IX Blvd. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Marie-Auxiliatrice Church, then to Le Repos St-François d'Assise cemetery.
