It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Emma Seccareccia (née Marrocco), on May 13, 2025 at the age of 94, beloved wife of the late Enrico Seccareccia.

She will be deeply missed by her loving children Giacomo (Elisabetta), Carmine (Sylvia), Assunta (Giovanni), Pietro (Teresa) and Antonio (Joanne), her cherished grandchildren Michael (Adriana), Matthew (Véronique), Mark, Amy, David, Domenic, Sara and Isabella, her great-grandchildren Anthony and Henry, her brother-in-law Giuseppe (Concetta) and many other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving brothers Francesco (Agata) and Mario (Imelda).

Emma was filled with a passion for living. The kitchen was her paradise and her excellent cooking and baking brought smiles to all of us who sat at her table. She looked forward to family gatherings and we will forever cherish the memories that were created. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

The family wishes to thank all her caregivers, in particular Claudine and Via, who have provided incredible care, joy and comfort to her over the last few years. Every day was filled with laughter, joy and music.

Visitations will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 6825 Sherbrooke E. in Montreal, on Thursday, May 29th, 2025 from 2 pm to 5 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm and on Friday morning as of 9:00 am.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th, 2025 at 10:30 am in the chapel of the complex and then on to Le Repos Saint-François d’Assise cemetery at the Padre Pio mausoleum.

Donations in Emma’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation.
