Was floored by this news. I worked for Ramsay right out of school, and he was instrumental in my career. Fond memories of hockey, squash, golf and the real estate deals. Pulled a Polaroid of Ramsay and Glynis at my wedding, now sitting in my home in memory. cc

Glynes, Jordan, Chelsea and family, I was so sorry to just learn of Ramsay’s passing. He was such a wonderful human being. We met shortly after my joining the downtown Coldwell Banker (now CBRE) office. He was fair minded, smart, full of integrity and so much fun. We enjoyed CBRE hockey trips to Boston and Montreal, hosting our American counterparts, Oxford Cup tournaments, company golf tournaments, awards trips and countless other professional and personal interactions. Ramsay was genuinely interested in people’s personal welfare. I had a pit in my stomach when I learned the sad news. He will be such a tremendous loss for you. As Cicely so elegantly points out, it is with great gratitude that I had the pleasure of enjoying his company and respecting him for his many wonderful characteristics. Please accept sincere condolences from me and my family. David Graham

Dear Glynes, Jordan and Chelsea,
I was grief stricken to hear the news of Ramsay’s passing. He was an integral part of CBRE in the early days and always such a gentleman. Thank you for sharing Ramsay with us for so many years. Thornton Wilder said “the highest tribute to the dead is not grief but gratitude “. I will always be grateful for the friendship we had with Ramsay and all his family.
Jonas and I send our deepest condolences and love to you and all the family. Rest In Peace, Ramsay.

Glynes, Jordan, and Chelsea,
Our deepest sympathies to you and the rest of the family.
Deborah and I just heard about Ramsay, and we were shocked. He was such an active and vibrant person; always on the move to make things better; always the gentleman.
I met Ramsay in Toronto at CBRE and we had many good times together, both at work and at play.
He was a huge success factor in the early days of CBRE in Toronto and then Montreal, with many, many people owing their RE start to his efforts and integrity.
He will be missed.

Our deepest sympathies to the Lunan family Glynes, Chelsea and Jordan from the Diamantopoulos family during this time. I was hired by Ramsay in late 1997 at CBRE and learned a ton. He was always focused on deals. Late nights, early mornings and weekend drives to Toronto were great memories talking all things real estate. Sometimes with Juan and Jordan. He was always trying to get the Toronto offices to look east to Montreal during those early days and drive volume. CBRE was the new shop in Montreal and market was tough. He touched a lot of people over those years. I am grateful to have spent time with him then and had the privilege of working alongside great people. I am shocked and saddened. May he rest in peace.

He has been a leader and mentor to many, always generous with his time and eager to share his passion for real estate. My heart goes out to you and your loved ones at this difficult time xox

I first met Ramsay when we were boys growing up in Pointe Claire. I re-connected with him upon his return to Montreal. Glynes, Jordan and Chelsea and all of your children, please accept my sincere sympathies on your loss. Ramsay was a great person and I always enjoyed spending time with him, either in a business context or on the golf course. He left this earth way too early and we will all miss him. I am sure that he has found Fraser in heaven.

Lynne and I were so very sorry to hear of Ramsay's sudden passing. Ramsay and I were long time collegues and friends dating back to our opening of CBRE's Toronto West office in 1985. Lynne and I enjoyed numerous southern vacations with Ramsay and Glynes which became annual events leaving us many great memories with good friends. Our sincere condolences to the Lunan's. I have the pleasure of continuing to work with Jordan which will help keep those memories of Ramsay close.

Ramsay played a pivotal role in introducing me to the world of commercial real estate and helping me secure my first job at CBRE. I will always appreciate the time he spent chatting with me about different aspects of the business and, of course, to chat about anything sports related. He was a true gentlemen and will be missed by many. Deepest condolences to the entire Lunan family.

I have wonderful memories of Ramsay starting with our days at McGill, getting together at Bill Gregory’s cottage, playing golf, frequenting the downtown Montreal night spots, playing hockey for our Fraternity team. It was when I saw him pull into the fraternity parking lot in his Datsun 240Z with building plans on his rear seat that I enquired about his recent employment in Industrial real estate. It was then that I made a decision to enter the industry.
Then we worked together at CBRE- me for 26 years and Ramsay for 39 years. He was an outstanding performer as a broker and manager. More importantly he was one of the most honourable individuals in business and in his personal life that I know. We had great times at the CBRE Xmas parties and Children’s Xmas parties with he and Glynes. The company and industry golf tournaments were fun and as we were both members of SIOR we joined up for a lot of their events.
The last time we saw Ramsay was last May at Mt.Tremblant when he talked to Debbie at great length about some of his challenges and we prayed that things would improve for him.
He was a “ Prince Of A Man “ who I will always hold dear to my heart.
Blessings to you Glynes, Jordan, Chelsea
and your family.

We were so shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Ramsay. I had a great relationship with him, working together developing CBRE. CBRE (originally Coldwell Banker Commercial) was started in Canada in 1983. We were so fortunate to be able to attract someone of the calibre of Ramsay almost from day one. He understood what it took to make the company the great success that it is today. He translated his sporting activity into his business acumen. Knowing that “passing the puck” was essential to making the people he introduced to his office to work as a team in our clients’ best interests. Ramsay was the epitome of being a real gentleman. No matter how busy he was he was always readily available to every member of his staff who respected, admired and loved him. He was also an essential member of our management team. It was always a real pleasure being around him with his great stories, often told over a beer. It was my privilege to have been associated with Ramsay and he will be sorely missed. I considered Ramsay a friend among many brokers I deal with, worked on many files and deals with him and he was always a gentleman and always willing to share his thoughts and ideas. Glynes, and Family, we are deeply saddened to hear the news of Ramsay's sudden passing. I met Ramsay in 1990 following the merger with Canada Trust. Ramsay was a force to be dealt with and never flinched when asked if he could assist, or help me navigate within CB. He was a huge supporter of our growth in Southwestern Ontario, and the overall growth of the Canadian Company. He was the hardest of workers, but always had time for others, especially supporting and mentoring new recruits.
We enjoyed lots of good times, celebrating the Company success in those early days. I had visited with him on the phone not long ago and we had intended to catch up at the SIOR conference in Montreal, but in the end it was not to be. We send our deepest condolences to all. May you rest in peace Ramsay. Peter and Beth Whatmore

Dear Glynes, Jordan and Chelsea,
The Miller and the Lunan family have been connected for many decades and it is so hard to believe that the man who connected us has passed. My father and Ramsay were the early pioneers at CBRE and shared the same passion and ambition for the green machine. When I joined the company in 2001 Ramsay welcomed me with a red carpet by making introductions to the montreal real estate community, offering to help me get settled and by becoming a trusted advisor and confidante on various business and personal matters. In his eyes the glass was always half full and his positive outlook and energy was an inspiration to many. His easy laugh and gentle manner was appreciated by all expect those unfortunate enough to run into him on a hockey rink or a putting green where his competitive spirit came out. On behalf of all of my family I send my deepest and most sincere condolences. Ramsay will be missed by all.

Glynes and family, It is with a heavy heart to send my sincere condolences on your loss. Growing up on Parkdale with the Lunan family our neighbours we had the privilege of having instant friends always at the ready! Ramsay was always a keen participant in our activities and highjinxs, with his infectious grin & laughter and athletic ability he was most likely to be a first pick to a team despite being one of the little guys. Although we only had a few reunions through my brother Bob in recent years, Ramsay was always willing to help, arriving with his smile& chuckles, we would share many childhood stories, catch up on our families with laughter overflowing. Thank you for sharing him, he was a kind, loving, respectful man who will be missed. Fondly Margo

I had the privilege of working with Ramsay for 14 years. He was a leader and early partner at CBRE and helped establish it in the west markets of the GTA and later in Montreal where he was an early partner. His 38 years were marked by dedication and hard work, mentorship and leadership, brokerage and advisory honest professionalism, kindness, goodness and deep friendships throughout the industry and around the world! Sprinkled in were many golf games, Oxford Cup hockey tournaments, Audi cars and the occasional beer or bottle of wine accompanied by war stories and his infectious smile.
He is missed and will be remembered always! On a personal basis he taught me more than I could ever teach him, even though he was gracious enough to pretend it was the other way round.
To Glynes and family. Thank you for sharing him with us. My most sincere condolences, love and support. I look forward to a hug soon. God bless and rest in peace RL, Blake and Family

First and foremost, sending heartfelt condolences to Glynes and the entire family.
I first met Ramsay in the Summer of 1988. He was the Managing Director of the CBRE (then called Coldwell Banker) Toronto West Office with Wally Pollock by his leadership side as the office's Sales Manager. Upon graduating from university, Ramsay and Wally hired me to CBRE where I still hang my hat, 34 years later. Ramsay taught me the value of hard work, leading by example, all the while maintaining the strongest of work ethics and integrity. I stepped into leadership at CBRE with Ramsay as a glowing example and will never forget the impact he left on me as a person, professional, mother, wife, friend or colleague. May you Rest in Peach, Ramsay. Love, Natalie Bazarevitsch

Ramsay was good friend over the years, we shared many aspects of your personal lives and had many conversation on the things that really mattered in this world.
I can't relate the importance of every single member of his family, his children, grandchildren and most importantly Glynes. His life revolved around you all. Everything he did was to show his unconditional love for you. There was not a day that passed without Ramsay sharing an anecdote on how special you were to him.
can't believe I'm writing this message in using the past tense, the words are rushing trough my head but coming straight from my heart. He was at times my partner and my friend but more importantly, always a well intentioned good human being.
I know there are no words I can write to comfort you, but I hope it will bring some solace, knowing he is at peace. He continues to live through you and the values he left you with.
Sincerest condolences, my thoughts and sympathies to the family.
